Boogie Woman: Mother’s Day Epilogue

This is my second posting for Mother’s Day.  The first one can be read here.

Here are some feelgoodies to add to your Mother’s Day bliss.

1.  I am watching “Mrs. Doubtfire.”  This movie is a gem, as is the main character played by Robin Williams.  One of the many scenes that sends me to the floor laughing, is Mrs. Doubtfire, with a broom in hand, mimicking the Tom Cruise air guitar sequence, in his tightie whities, in “Risky Business.”    Williams is definitely a national treasure.  Check out this video around 1 minute, forty seconds, for the broom dance by one hell of a “Boogie Woman:”

2.  This observation  from Jay Leno:

Prince William and Kate Middleton are now planning their honeymoon.  They say they want to go somewhere where they can have complete privacy and be assured that no one in the country would give away their location.   So I think they’re going to Pakistan.

And this comment from Jimmy Kimmel:

By the way, I should point out that on the same night Obama was ordering the Navy to kill Osama bin Laden, his potential opponent in 2012, Donald Trump, was busy firing Playmate of the Month Hope Dworaczyk.

3.  This little tidbit was in the New York Times on Mother’s Day.  I just love it:

My mother loved Pepperidge Farm Milano cookies.  In fact, every one of her seven grandchildren call those delectable edibles : “Grandma cookies.”  With every bite I take of those cookies, I remember my Mother setting the gold standard for the perfect, time-tested, mouth-melting chocolate paired with the utter, simple crispness of those wafers.  Her love of Milanos, presenting her children and grandchildren with only the best, was emblamatic of her teachings to us in all other endeavors.

Okay.  Let’s put Mother’s Day to rest for another year.
